About Gordon Cote
Gordon Cote is a respected and influential leader in British Columbia’s community social services sector, bringing more than three decades of experience in organizational leadership, community development, and sector advocacy.
Throughout his career, Gord has demonstrated a strong commitment to leadership excellence, collaboration, accountability, and the people and communities served by the sector. He has contributed to the sector by developing and leading his own social service agency, being an active board member of sector-wide and occupational health organizations, and being an active surveyor for accreditation. Though retired from organizational leadership, Gordon remains actively engaged in the community social services field. Gordon co-develops and facilitates supervisory, management, and leadership training, drawing on more than 35 years of practical experience to support and develop the next generation of community social service leaders. Gordon brings a grounded, relational, and systems-focused approach to leadership development, with a belief that strong organizations are built through capable leaders, healthy relationships, shared accountability, and a clear commitment to purpose. He holds an MBA.
